Edmund P. Cueva, PhD

Biography: Edmund P. Cueva is chair and professor of arts and humanities at University of Houston-Downtown. He received his PhD in classics from Loyola University Chicago. He has published extensively on the ancient novel in The American Journal of Philology, The Classical Bulletin, Syllecta Classica, and Greek, Roman, and Byzantine Studies. Cueva is the managing editor of The Classical Bulletin and the editor of The Petronian Society Newsletter. Cueva is the cotranslator with Shannon N. Byrne of Longus' Daphins & Chloe: An Annotated Edition (Bolchazy-Carducci Publishers, 2005) and coeditor with Shannon N. Byrne of Veritatis Amicitiaeque Causa: Essays in Honor of Anna Lydia Motto and John R. Clark (Bolchazy-Carducci Publishers, 1999).
