Author Bios

Richard A. LaFleur is the Franklin Professor of Classics at the University of Georgia, Athens, and is the author of many Latin text and pedagogy books as well as numerous articles on Latin language, literature, pedagogy, and teacher-training. Mark Miner is a professional reciter of epic poetry, specializing in Latin and Greek literature. His credits include recordings for the popular textbook Athenaze: An Introduction to Ancient Greek, online audio vocabulary for Wheelock’s Latin, and a 2-CD audio package, Conversational Latin for Oral Proficiency: Audio Conversations. He has performed epic poetry throughout North America, hosted SORGLL’s Informal Reading Session at the APA’s annual meeting, and is currently preparing to record the AP Latin syllabus and Petronius’ Satyricon.
